War Widow | One Finger
I released the Deadbird’s album “Trim” a few years ago and this was a pre-War Widows band. The band featured Jon (WW), Brian (Mellowdrone) and Lisa (Sea Wolf). Although its a little more rough than War Widow, it’s still dark, and you can also hear Jon’s progression in his song writing.

It took me a long time to listen to music that was, for lack of a better word, “different.” What I mean by “different” is: music which steps out of its supposed limitations; using basic instruments such as the guitar, the piano, etc. Even still, I’m apprehensive to pick up a record that doesn’t bear a label familiar to me (i.e. pop punk, rock, alternative – you get the picture). Yet, there was something different about Big Black Delta’s album, BBDLP1.

So this morning we ran into a little hiccup with a release that is due out in September. I’m not going to get into throwing sand into peoples eyes, yet. I knew this project was doomed from the minute their art department handled the files and took almost two weeks to acknowledge the proofs had been approved. At this point I knew I wasn’t going to send the Widow though this, so I had to go with solid people (only reason I went to above people was because they pretended to be hooking me up, mistake). So lets say this project got messy, felt disappointed, but I knew this afternoon would be all smiles when the War Widow vinyl would arrive.
So as I was waiting for delivery of the War Widow 12-inch I decided to call up “solid” pressing plant and informed them how I had been bamboozled, violated, manhandled, etc. from said pressing plant. They assured me that they could rectify this problem and help make this project happen. Thats when I turned that frown upside down!
So fast forward to later this afternoon…

Just some quick photo’s, but you get the “picture.” Everything turned out great with this release! Got a couple of things to tie-up, but we will have this available by June 28th (physical +DL). It’s also scheduled to hit iTunes, Amazon, etc (July 26th).
Remember to grab the free downloads and you’ll be automatically entered into a “Raffle” for some free stuff…what you hate free shit?
